alright , have not started car in about 2months, lol it was out of petrol , put 10liters in and still its rotating but not starting up, if you get me, i though it could be the spark plugs , as its not sparking or sumthing, any one got any ideas ?

checked the battery has enough charge in it?

You generally need 12 volts to start, however some cars will still turn over with less... my mate's 200sx beign a prime example.... just need a bit of a boost in the charge!

yeah charge battray for about 13hours and still just turns over, as its been left for about 2months, would it be the hydrualic tappets ? no compression ? also treid jumpin it , but still wont fire up
please help

what engine is it

what does it do when you turn key

any lights on dash any sound when you try and start it ?

is the fuel relay / pump working? have you checked ht heads, dizzy cap etc for water?

1.4 8v corsa b
checked leads brand new sparks look pretty burnt out, chagered batteray , turn key it just rotates as in like turning over but not fireing up or coughin etc, just filled it with 10liters petrol, spraks look little bit wet not fully, engine mamgenmtn light is on, but has been when it started etc, havent checked dizzy cap, been stood so long brakes were bit sezied, lol
any one help ?

right remove plugs and use sand paper to rubb off any crap on the hook shape thing on end of em till they go a bit clean give em a wipe wiv petrol or thinners after sanding - This should jus clean em up abit

on the inlet housing there is a fuel line into the side pop this off an see if any fuel spurt out when you turn key you will know straight away if the fuel is coming thru

try pumping the accelerator a little when you try start it - not alot tho

try and make sure the car is on a flat surface aswell so that there is more chance of a knackered fuel pump to push fuel thru the lines

when you turn the key so that the dash lights come on can you hear the fuel pump kick in should make a wurrring sound turn the key from the off position to the point where ya dash lights come on do this 3 or 4 times then the 5 time turn the key all they way

could it be the imob thats fucked up ? as i got a cobra alarm, but disconneteed that, and when imob went it turned all lights off on dash etc and you would get nothing from when you tried fireing it up, but i looked around fuel pump and cant find any wires which i thoguht could be imob !!
any one got any ideas
