My old E30 M3 was awesome, bilstein dampers, H&R springs, Whiteline anti-roll bars, Powerflex bushes. Turn in was fantastic and it refused to understeer
My old 205 rally car was fun too, Bilstein forest spec dampers which were rock solid on the road, it used to lift off oversteer at 15mph
I had a mk2 escort estate 1.3 standard, had practically enough body roll to get the door handles on the tarmac but it gripped like a beast!

plus my nova's pretty handy, uprated dampers, hot-hatch springs, rose-jointed, rollcage and extremely light. Out handles most stuff on track, should be even better this year with sticky tyres, adjustable dampers and a load of welding planned!

@ Fad

Yes i wasnt talkin about sports car kind of "performance" driving.

But in terms of a driving experience, the range rover is awesome. At what it does, carry people in luxury slowly and comfortably it surpasses any other car in its class.

If u tried to go round a corner quickly on the otherhand

Engineering wise what makes cars handle better than others, is it the dimensions of the car, etc?
Im intrigued, seems like out of the budget cars the french make good handling cars, clio, pug 205/306/106. Is this intentional? do they spend money on researching this rather than them not dropping to pieces?!

Also I think the Ford KA handles bloody good. My Dad used to have one for running backwards and forwards to work in, it had 15" alloys on so better grip than standard and it was really good fun on a twisty road!

Yep i'm such an amazing driver that after driving those cars above whilst asleep I woke up and realised I'd just driven down some twisty country roads.
