Yeah I've been using this for a while, great program. Does regular expression search and replace as well, and opens huge stuff far better than Notepad.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software
Microsoft
Internet Explorer
View Source Editor
Editor Name

You'll need to set the web source code scheme as the default one to get colour as this works off file extension and IE source docs generally don't carry this.

Can you merge .reg files?

Paste this in a text file, name it viewsource.reg and run it. Obviously fix the path to Notepad2. Thats XP but it should be the same. I had it working on 2000 not so long ago.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\View Source Editor\Editor Name]
@="C:\\WINDOWS\\Notepad2.exe"
