its all in and runs... 2 days solid work, had it stuck in reverse at first. just gotta finish putting the exhaust on and i'm away... no pics as i forgot to get them off the digi camera

well done mate, i had problems with gears at first could only get 1st 3rd 5th and reverse due to the spacer that came in the kit, made the gears off angle.

Pics tomorrow gearbox problem was because i built the box... all selector forks were in neutral, except reverse i now get all gears but 2nd and 4th feels vague, i'll re-do the linkage

1st 3rd 5th and reverse all lovely and crisp feel, 2nd and 4th don't feel positive... i did set the linkeage with the box stuck in rverse though

exactly how mine was, and a few of my mates were, just needs the spacer between the gear box mount making smaller, we used a washer of some sort in the end. gears go in so smooth

hmm ok fella i'll check that out, its an m-tech linkage and an m-tech shifter so i shouldn't really have to mod anything i wouldn't think... we'll see

12mm spacer (req longer bolts though)

useful link that i really hope i don't have to re do the spacer bit and that its a linkage issue caused by it originally being set whilst the box was in reverse

Although it sounds like you just need to carefully centralise the gear linkage... Took me a few goes to get right then I was away

the mtec spacer is simular to the one i posted..
shortshifter can however be an arse to centralize

It shouldn't be, it should just centralise in the exact same way as you would centralise a stock shifter... You using drill bits on the gear stick and gearbox to lock them in position? I found that on my first attempts the drill bits I was using were too small and the linkage was sitting slightly out making it not work

may be that then... i used 4.5 drills not the prescribed 5mm's
