getting out there and doing it yourself is the best way, simple stuff.... have a scan thru the haynes beofre you do it, the corsa engines are very simple. doing an engine swap is easy too, just need to guts to pull it out!
i learnt alot from my dad, helped him work on his cars from a young age.... all helps!
but dont be scared of giving it a go yourself, make sure you have the tools to complete the job before you start. nothing more annoying than getting mid way thru a job and finding you dont have the tools to complete the job!

i have a habit of taking stuff apart for no reason what-so-ever...... looking at how it works then putting it back together with half the amount of bolts.

the love of cars does it for me, if i see something it just sticks and i never for get.
plus for the fact that if you dont do it your seft the prices of jobs would be silly so that also gives me a kick up the arse to have ago, but i do enjoy it

I didn't even know how an engine worked until I completely stripped one and put it back together. I didn't even know how to fit a 2.0 engine into a Corsa before I gave it a go. I don't have a clue what I'm doing bodywork wise either, yet I still do it...
Er, I'm what some might call reckless, I prefer to call it experimenting...
