it keeps emptying itself!!

cant remember when i checked it the time before last but it was bone dry! i topped it up again about a week ago and its half empty after about 2 maybe 3 hours of use

is this a sign of head gasket being fucked?

because i cant find any leaks

Check oil for signs of oil/water mixture (will look like a creamy mayonaise type substance) by taking the oil filler cap off and having a look on that.
Also check your carpets under your dash incase the heater matrix is leaking.

if you cant find a leak then it could be your headgasket, but if it is emptying itself in 2 to 3 hours, and the headgasket has gone i would of thought you would have a bit of smoke coming out the back of the car

i had a fluid test dont at my local garage for £10, this will say if the gasket has gone

Get the engine upto temperature then have a look around for leaks. I was losing water and had a hairline crack in my rad and was only visible when hot. Other than that get a pressure test done on the coolant system at a garage.

you need a fluid test , if you wanna know if the head gasket has gone mate.

they put a tube of dye ontop of the tank, and run the car for a while, if the dye turns green, it means there are fuel fuems in your water system and the head gasket has gone.

alsowhen you go out to ur car of a morning, if you take the cap off your header tank is there alot of pressure there.

If the headgasklet has gone on the 14 16v it will be between water jacket and cylinder no 4. Compare no 4 spark plug to the rest, if you cant get no 4 plug out its head gasket
