my van as it is now....
http://tinypic.com/k9a0ew.jpg

right then folks i'm in a little bit of a pickle. i'm undecided as to whether i should ditch the sideskirts or keep them on and smooth them in. below is a pic of the van without sideskirts (an old pic) and below that is a pic with the skirts on. (please note that exhaust is no longer there)

ALSO, on the standard rear bumper how do i go about smoothing it off. if i just use filler it'll crack and fall out. any suggestions?

cheers

Keep the skirts - or maybe some more subtle skirts (GSI, stein)

looks better without skirts and with silver wheels IMO. ive just smoothed my gf's phase2 rear bumper. i used fibreglass filler (alot of) and then a light skim of filler over the top

hasn't it cracked and fallen out though? did you drill holes in the recess part so the fibreglass could lock onto the bumper?

Its just my opionion mate - I guess they are so sommon because they suit the car

Even with a 'common' skirt on your van will stand out because of the other mods - IMO this would be better than sticking any old skirts on just because they're different

its just fiber glass filler from halfrauds. the bumper has only just gone back on the car tonight. will have pics tomorrow when its light and clean lol. i dropped the bumper a couple of times in the garage and it survived ok. if in doubt, im sure u could drill holes into the recess to give the fibreglass something to hold onto or even use fibreglass resin and mattin but its a mess job and its hard to sand back any mistakes as its sets solid

don't really want a spoiler. all the ones i've seen i don't like. wouldn't mind something like a saxo spoiler but NOT moulded to a gsi spoiler. so 1995! lol
