hey all

fitted a setup before, so i know what im up to, just i didnt get a spark when i connected the power cable to battery, did before, could that b the problem? what should i do?

Have you checked the fuse? Got a good earth?

good earth ,screwed it into the nut and bolt for the back light, fuse is new, what should i be looking for if its broken?

dont use the backlight as an earth not enough surface area

use the bolt for your back seats

it has to be the earth is fuse is fine. make sure theres no paint on the metal which youre screwing the wire connection to.

Fuse could have gone if you accidently touched the live to the cars bodywork. The best place for the earth: open up the access panel to the passenger side rear light, look in and to the right and there is a factory earthing point. Undo the nut and add your earth from your amp on top of the other factory earth wires. Then tighten the nut back up.

To check if your fuse has gone take the fuse out and look at it. It'll either be all burnt so you wont be able to see anything or the metal in the fuse will have melted. Remember theres not just the inline fuse to check, there also the fuse(s) in the amp

ill change the earth to there, but i remember, as i got amp 2nd hand, fuses on amp were missing, thats where i think the problem lies, getting some tonight, give it a go, let u all know! thanks for the tips guys!

my remote wire from headunit wasnt working, so put it into the yellow wire, and hey presto, system up n running!
