I have got a Grundig GDV530 DVD player, I recently bought a DVD off eBay but didn't notice that it was Region 1!

Is there any way I can make my DVD player play it? When I insert the disc it says "wrong region".

http://www.vcdhelp.com Look for the section that lists the codes to access the secret menu on your player to swap it to region 9... Or is it 8?

1. Press the Menu button on your remote control
2. Press the buttons 1, 6 and then 7 on your remote control in order, one at a time
3. Press the Mute button on your remote control
4. Exit the Menu and insert the disc to play
