Looking to hook up some LEDs and neons in footwell's and i want them to come on when the lights are on.
Where's the easiest place to get to the 12V circuit for the headlights and any advice please??

would be easier to wire it up to the cig lighter and put a switch in - that what i did - will only be live when the ignition is on

or you could tap into the ignition lives on the ignition barrel im pretty sure they are the thick black wires going into the back of the igniton barrel

Run a new fused power wire with switch built in from the battery. Can switch it on and off anytime you want then and no danger of overloading any standard wires. Dont forget to earth it

I did it the way you want to. Get your head down in the passenger foot well and you should see a load of cables coming from behind the glove box. It might be easier to take the glove gox out. From memory the cable you want is grey with a black stripe on it but dont just start cutting up wires without first testing with a multi meter. Earth can attach to the chasis somewhere down there. I drilled a small hole through a piece of metal just shoeing above the plastic.
