i have two 12 inch neons which i have fitted under the footwells. i just need some advice on how to fit them to the power supply, was hoping to have a switch so i could easily turn them on or off (which i already have but just need to know how to wire up the neons to the power.....

use the fag lighter wiring.
thats what i did wire the positive to the live on the fag lighter and earth it to the chasis under the centre console trim.
that all i did can get pic if you need em?

i cut it coz i dont use the lighter and used a bullet connector. just uploading pics for ya

right then asuming you know/have wired and attached the neons into footwells here is how i mounted my switch and connected to power/earth

how interior should look, except all the dust and dirt

(see where i have mounted switch)

first take out the ashtray (four screws on each corner) and take gear gaitor off (pull it off) unclip the cover for the screw at front of trim & remove screw

trim will pull off if you pull back on it

the black wire(earth) is screwed onto a metal plate that is under the trim and the red wire (live) is wired to the live on fag lighter using bullet connector (sorry havent got pic of that)

You could do that but put a split circuit so you can switch them on the way you weir thinking but also have them wired in so they also come on when you open the door and they will fade out like the interior light does when you close the door.
