Either a speed camera yet as you say no signs in place? Or more likely a reg plate checker, checks tax, insurance & MOT

my mate shat himself at the weekend cos he did the same thing. a mobile tripod camera was stood at the end of a 40 area and he was doing just over 70! haha. he shat himself, i could only laugh!

mate, that could of been surveyors, i used to do surveyin, they've got a tripod, and guys have to wear high-viz jackets so they look like coppers. i wouldnt worry.
Anyway, speedings wrong..................... but we all do it
