what fuel pump will i need when running tb's?

i read somewhere that the fuel system needs to be pressurised to 60psi. Facet red tops only go up to 7 psi. is the 60psi correct?

Also read that the fuel filter/regulator should be connected up after the fuel rail, and then sent back to the pump. Will petrol not need filtering before going into the engine?

Thanks, Jay

red top pump is for carbs. carbs run a lower pressure than injection. im using a 200sx pump with mine, however a standard corsa mpi pump will do

ah right, cheers broster.

Do you know about where to put the fuel filter/regulator? before or after entering the engine? will one of those filter kings do?

regulator after the engine, to back up the pressure behind it, and at a guess i'd say filter before the engine

the pressure depends on the ecu map, but generally 3 bar.

standard fuel pump is fine as long as its a 16v one. use the standard fuel filter and the regulator goes after the fuel rail on the return pipe to back up the pressure as rob said.

what are you planning? got some bits here you might be interested in

thanks guys.

well i've got some 45mm jenveys, think they're using calibra turbo injectors and mbe management. not sure what one though unfortunately. Then i'll need some arp's, maybe some cams if i can afford them too. what bits do you have?

On a c20xe by the way.

ive got a new adjustable regulator, was used whilst i was mapping my car. pic of it in my garage i think......

also comes with an sbd fuel pressure gauge, you need this to see what pressure its running while setting it up.

cost £80 for the regulator and £20 for the gauge, so make me an offer.....
