Everything iv read on this site about ICV's on X10XE engines says once they stop working, you have no option but 2 get a new one cos u cant clean it. But mine broke, so i decided to pull it apart and have a go at fixing it, for the hell of it, rather than throwing it away - and it worked. So I took some pictures and wrote a guide for benefit of any1 else who has this car and has ICV problems. You can find it at:
http://therafiman.netfirms.com/corsa/icv.html
I may still need 2 make some changes cos I haven't got it idling right just yet, maybe my ECU or maybe the ICV needs more messing around with, but what I've written in that guide got mine from doing nothing to working again, now its just the position of it that's a bit out. The guide also answers the basic "where is the ICV" and "how do i take it off" question that a lot ask.
I can't say i'm any sort of car expert, so if any1 sees any mistakes in what iv written, feel free 2 point em out.
