Hey chaps. my g/f just bought a little 1 liter R reg merit and the PLONKER that owned the car before has tried to spray the bumpers and arches black but the paint just rubbs off and is lookin bad. was wanting to know how to get the arches off so i can sand them and then give them a paint up to match the car. Thanks

one 10 mm bolt at closest to the front bumper, then undo all the bolts and the wee pop rivit thingys on the inner arch, take that out and another 4 10mm bolts
rear is pretty similar

you have to take the side bolts off that hold the bumper on and let the bumper hang too

Thanks lads, will the car be drivable with the arches took off? gonna have a wee look tonight when my g/f gets back from work and take them off.
