i bought a mantzel last weekend, at the moment i am spraying it up, when i bought it, the chap who i got it off give it me with induction pipe, lower manifold, fuel rail and injectors etc etc, i have been looking at the lower part of the manifold and it has this on it.. (sorry about pics from my phone)

is this the blanking plate that people are on about to be blocked off, something to do with the eco-tec?? if so what else do i need to do about it??

that is where your egr valve should go. just bolt the egr on with that plate sandwiched between it and the manifold. Job done
|

so what i have to do is unscrew the 2 bolts in the pic bolt on the egr valve and put the screws back in?? will this effect anything?

thats right. wont affect anything in a bad way.

help needed i have spent most of the day trying to fit this, but so far i have took the top half of the inlet off, all the pipe work the throttle body and the adaptor for the TB, part i am stuck with is to take the induction pipe off as it goes down below the lower half of the inlet, any ideas??

any help any one please, as i am hoping to have another go at this tomorrow?? also do you have to extend the coolant pipes?

cut the induction pipe in half, easier to remove.
dont bother extending the coolant pipes just cut and join them

i thought you were just ment to get rid of the egr valve as its not needed anymoreor is that just on vx_pauls ones?
