thinking of buying a 106 diesel i seen advertised at a nice price for my other half...but I dont know much about them..

So help? What they like? good runners?

it's an M reg series 2 106/ pas/etc...

Looks canny.

All i know...diesel is great and will last longer then my petrol does in my corsa

My first car was a series 1 N reg' 106 Escapade 1.5D. Put £10 of diesel in it and not have to worry about it again for like 2 weeks
Even tho mine was a bit of a shed engine-wise it still went strong. It was a good little car in my opinion

M reg s2? They didnt make s2's til 96.

might be a priv plate? dunno.

It' deffo a series 2 106, as it's got a face lift front

i confirm this! i have a 1.2 8v and i drove our work van that's a 1.5d partner (not a 106 but it was empty inside so its probabbly a similar weight)

They are quite easy to drive, even with no PAS!

A mate has one, can do about 450 miles to a tank I think!

my mate had one......beat it in my 1 litre corsa. very slow, but i suppose your other half wont be that insterested in the speed.
good little cars though.

not exactly that slow. I've had it @ 112mph (indicated on speedo, so I know it wasn't actually that but still)

long stretch of road not that long, they get up to 85 quite easily
