Right............

I have 17s ET42. The only scrubbing i experienced WITHOUT are mods was when I had people in the back. I also experienced scrubbing when i went over pot holes or bumps in the road fast.

I didnt trim my arches as such just pulled them out and will probably remove the bolts that hold the rear arches on when I fit GSi arches. With the arches as they are at the moment, i get a bit of scrubbing but passengers still isnt a great idea.

The best thing I found to do with 17's rubbing was fit Falken fk512's with there slanted sidewall you get alot more clearence!

Fit ET49 195/50/15's instead,it will handle loads better with smaller 15" wheels.
You get no scrubbing at all, ever.
And 195/50/15 tyres are well cheap!
I paid £32 each for a set of four goodyear eagle F1-GSD3's from mytyres.com and it handles soooo much better than when i had 17's on.
IMO good handling is better than good looking big wheels, big wheels are a trend thats fading anyway.
