My car seems to be poorly, especially when im in 1st or 2nd gear it doesn't seem to want to go properly. And when im at the traffic lights my rev counter drops to just below 1, my gear knob judders lots & sometimes it stalls 
Maybe there seems to be a blockage somewhere 
Should i change my spark plugs or something?

1.2 16v by any chance?

Its a 1.4 16v sport engine

is your engine managment light coming on?, could be the mass air flow sensor!

try this
when you turn the car on, rev it too about 3 k before drving it anywhere and let it settle .. then drive..

3k revs is too high on a cold engine mate.

And plus even if it does fix it he can't do it every time?

Engine management light has never been on.
I do sometimes rev it, but as Rcb says i don't like reving it too much, especially when the engine is cold.
I might change the spark plugs tomorrow to see if that fixes it.
