Wanting to paint all my brakes up.
Where are the best places to place my axel stands to hold the front up? I know on the rear I'll have them supporting the rear beam but not sure where is best on the front?
Reason I ask is that there was a thread the other day and people said dont jack your car up on the sills as it might split them...
Also want to adjust my brake bias valve as its never been done and seems to go through the rear shoes and drums way too quick. How do I do this? Couldn't find a tutorial on it? My mate said just take the spring off but that just sounds a bit, well dodgy

When I did my my brakes I only jacked up the side I was doing at the time. I jacked up on the chassis and used lots of wood packers too.

You have to wait a few hours for the paint to dry before you can put the wheels back on so I'm gonna do the front, wait for them to dry then do the rears...

When I painted my calipers I just put the wheel back on and lowered it back down.

chassis rails being the box section type bits just inside from the sills?
what about the brake bias valve?

Its a along near the handbrake cable I think??? I tired adjusting mine but there wasn't anything to adjust.

you need to adjust the bias valve with your car sat on the road and you can easily slide under your car and do it anyhow. Just loosen off the bolt and set it so the spring is just under tension.
The sills are only designed for scissor jacks/axel stands.
And chock the front wheels and release the handbrake before setting the bias valve
