ShEp can your corsa keep up with 2.0 16v XE'd corsa's?

Mine before camming / remapping was doing similar times to standard XE's.

Just curious as to whether u can keep up with corsa XE's too?

the saxo vts pulls away from you now, with no exhaust, the saxo vts will pull away from you with an exhaust, an exhaust wont make any difference to the performance of your car

and trust me it take a heck of a power advantage to actually pull away from something, race one off the mark side by side and youl notice the difference a lot more

So all three of them are fecked

I will admit, i drove harder round the corner's and had a faster exit speed, hence me kinda sitting with him , but even on a dead straight run he'd hardly pull anything. Im guessing a bonnet down the 1/4mile...

Olders Vt's's are slightly quicker than newer ones as they have less weight, i.e. dont have seats with airbags, less sound deading etc.

Wheather its a newer one or an older one you will be beaten, like its been mentioned for a car to look like it is really pulling away and pasting you, for want of a better word, it has to be pretty damn quick.

You will do "OK" against them but you WILL be beaten.

i find myself struggleing to keep up with a vts . mods on mine are same as rob b's really , dbilas , piperx viper , full system exhaust and a 4-2-1 . think really mine could do with a unichip to see the most out of these mods . plus i dont think im helped with the weight of mine .

Also at higher speeds there shouldn't be much in it.

Finally don't forget about driver etc.

Get your car to the pod and prove yourself

I was at pod recently when I just had exhaust filter and was doing 15.3's where other VTS's / 106 gti's there were still doing mid 16's

Sly_Sri had a dbilas inlet manifold, exhaust system and induction and my standard gti still pull away from him.

Steve from here's mate, did 15.0 in a standard VTS about 3 years ago

he struggled to stay with me on the twisties

but sooty will vouch for the fact that i am good driver and know exactly how to wring the best out of little hot hatches
