You already have uprated shocks don't you so you should be OK to just change the springs to -60mm and you can sell your old -30mm one's that way you won't be really spending that much money on your car

yeah I'm just going to change the springs.

one of my mates offered to heat my 30mm springs up and squash them in a vice but funnily enough I'm not keen on doing that

No don't do it, its just as bad as chopping your springs.

A friend of mine once did this to his MG ZR looked good but handling went crap and also spring eventually snapped

i know loads of tricks

1. speed clips arches

2. remove all clips .etc and no nails/tigerseal them on

3. remove top bolt and use some sealant/tape to hold in place

4. flare the arch out and bond it on

5. just remove it and leave it.... u hardly notice tbh

6. sand/file the head off the nut/screw

7. get lower profile nut's screws so they're smaller

So far I've flared the arches, cut off the excess thread on the arch bolts and cut a bit of the metal arch off on the rear drivers side arch with an angle grinder

Next thing to do is speed clips and self tappers as suggested by Burgess

Would prefer to continue using the fixings rather than bond them on as it just means its easier to take the arches off if I ever need to.

As if a Corsa handles well anyway? Lowering it won't make that much difference to an already poor setup IMO

imo though if i crash a 1.4 sport due to handling ect i shouldnt be allowed to drive they are hardly fast cars fair enough if its a tuned 1.6 then handling is an important factor

how often do I go caning my car around? answer - not very often.

its a 1.2, most of the driving is to work and back mainly along a dual carriageway and the B road that goes to my house I drive everyday and never really push my car right on its limits as whats the point!

The handling is ok as it is, lowering it another 30mm isn't going to mean that I automatically fuck off into a wall on the 1st corner I go round yes it will be slightly worse handling but I'm level headed enough to know that I will have to adjust how I drive it to compensate for it.

I'm 21, not a little scrote thats just passed his test and thinks he is king of the road
