Nah if he gets a car before he's passed he can learn in it which means quicker to pass.

That's what I did anyway, passed first time in 2 months of learning and paid for 11 lessons.

Thats what i plan to try and do as RCB says, get parents to teach me, then take 10 or so lessons, everyone telling me to pass first but, i dont have the paitence or money to pay someone for how ever many hours needed, to then have to pay for insurance when i can have a car and learn in it.

do all the checks everyone has mentioned:
check no oil leaking in bonnet
b pillars
rust
etc, etc

if you do buy it, please back to black the arches asap, lol!!
