Well this was an eventfall day. So got down to lowering the pug and well hit a few problems.
Had to replace the droplinks and track rod ends before fitting the suspension.
Then i found out that the suspension is welded in!!??? Luckily i was only fitting 50mm springs today.
So anyway after abit of messing around i got this far:
then did the other side and had to do some cutting:
and even more cutting:
Then thought i might aswell change the brake pads at the same time
Finished product of today:
Remember it has to settle still and also i need to drop the rear torsion bar but it looks to hard to do as it is very tight at the back to adjust the bar. So i might get that bit done by a garage.
Anyway what do you guys think?
Appologies for the poor pics as it was on a camera phone

why?
I've had my suspension on and off many times and I think my tracking is out - but been scared to get it done incase they reset it to a crap setting (i.e. 0 degree's completely straight) where as I think the 106's came with slight toe out for better turn in.

when you replace drop links and track rod ends, the tracking will be out
when you get the tracking done properly, the place will have a wall chart which has the manufacturers settings on, and they set it to that, so if the pug had 10 degrees toe out, they should set it to 10 degrees out
if you leave it, it will eat tyres

I had a good checkover of my wheels and i technically only need one new tyre so i might just get that instead.
But tbh i would get 2 as one has a puncture repair( current spare) and one is low on the side.

I've tracked a car by trial before, when I fitted a new steering rack. That was funny, I drove down the road and the steering wheel went half way round either way! Obviously I adjusted it some more then took it to a garage.
You don't want much more than 1 degree toe in or out. I have my car set at 0, it used to be 1 in, which was much sharper.

Thought about morrettes for mine but dont think they'll suit. Your car pulls them off imo
