gonna be gettting my first contract phone next week, and ive heard that because ive only ever had payg, my phone rating is going to be low? meaning i have to pay £100 deposit on the phone which i get back in six months time. is this true cause if it is it means i gotta wait another month

I got my phone on my 18th Birthday and i had to pay £60 deposit because i had no credit history. If that helps

oh right well i have good credit history but i was told phone history, wtf that is, is completely seperate!?

i think it depends on who you go with. i went with 02 (still am) just after my 18th birthday. i didnt have to pay a deposit and still had everything free etc

phone history is if youre on a contract and paying a certain amount a month. with orange they have a rating of 1-5 5 being for people who spend lots and 1 for people who are on a low monthly plan and spend nothing.
thats how it worked when i worked in sales.
