Hiya
im interested in dropping a 2.0 litre lump in my corsa C SXI but dont want to buy an old calibra engine thats done 80,000+ miles. Is there anywhere that sells new engines? ive heard off a mate that you can buy new 2.0 litre opel engines but dont kno how true this is. Any help is appreciated, Cheers

Vauxhall do brand new 2.0's for about £1500 trade in. You get a new bottom and top end. Those are the important bits really...

I wouldn't bother considering putting an older engine into a C. Even more recent engines seem a fair bit of hassle due to wiring.

Putting an older engine in is a lot easier than putting a new engine in...

TBH id rather buy a new engine and get it all fitted and wired professionaly as i dont mind paying the money. Do vauxhall/opel do a 2.0 litre turbo engine?

why not just buy a 1.8 sri and tune it. far cheaper easier and more reliable.

dbilas turbo kit for a 1.8 costs 4k, a few companies do z20let into a C for around 5k.
i'd go for a 1.8 - inlet manifold, decent exhaust & filter, cams and ecu remap. should see at least 150bhp IMO.

an empty bank account and 180ish bhp. (at a guess)
Im currently planning on building a smallblock 1.8 16v engine z18xe on throttle bodies. not sure if its been done before but im gonna give it a good go as soon as I find a decent donor engine.
