For ages my wireless connection has been shocking between my latop and wireless router. I have to have it on channel 11 as thats the only one that doesnt conflict with a few other wireless things in my house, ie cordless phone etc, but for some reason its been shit.
Anyway iv noticed for a while another access point appearing in my list with a weak signal, it had the default SSID of NETGEAR, so i thought id fancy my chances to connect to it as i suspected no WEP setup or anything, connected to it and managed to get into it using default passwords, obviously belongs to one of the houses next door, anyway i noticed that theirs was set to ch 11 too, so i changed it for them to ch 2 and now mines been fine ever since i even took the liberty of browsing the net using there internet for a while, hey i know its illegal but if they dont want to enable there security then
Oh the moral of the story, if you have a wireless network, enable your security to stop meddlers like me getting in

Only an idiot would have a wireless network with no security enabled.
