Ok,i'm sorry for posting this i know it's been asked million times before but i need to know this...My OEM brake disks on my X14XE are almost gone so i'm woundering is it better to put original disks again,or upgrade to 2.0l ones.I know there will be a better stopping power with the 2.0l brakes, but i'm worried about this:
1.Will they fit under my 15inch alloys et38(Don't know if the ET has any influence)?
2.If i have a flat front tyre will the disks fit under my 13inch steelie?

3.These are the appropriate brake disks?
2.0 16V 24x256 GM Disc Brakes & GM 2.0 16V pads to fit an Astra/Cavalier/Calibra caliper
4.What about pedal feel?Is it gonna be the same as it was with the 1.4 brake disks? If not what's involved?
Thanks.

1. yes..offset come in play in rare situations
2. i don't think they will
3. yes
4. pedal feels a bit spongy (some say)...mine did, put in braided hoses, better feel...well, maybe it's just mental
Anything wrong in here, somebody please correct me

Cheers for the reply abdus...hmm so if i get a front flat tyre i'll have to replace my rear wheel in front? But i'll have to check in my boot cause maybe the spare wheel is a 14ich(165/65/r14?)
ET38,will be further away from the brake caliper?
And about the spongy pedal,is it that bad?Whats the feeling? You press the pedal half way down and nothing happens?Braided hoses, how much do they cost?Brand name?
Thanks.

you wont get a spongy brake with 2 litre set-up. will be fine. its the v6 brakes that you get a problem with.

the only thing when i fitted 2.0's was i cooked the fluids, put gas in the system, so i fitted braideds, all fine, if its spongy, bleed it.

my 2 litre brakes were always spongy could never get a fantastic pedal feel.
My V6 brakes however are perfect both on standard hoses!!
