Seriously though, the reworked models are looking to capture the essence of a design, but when people look at the new car, they will always remember what made the original special. For that reason I think that in most cases, the rework will always be in the shadow of the original.
The only one I can think of that has got better with age is the Corvette.

but the original Corvette is still the one you think of when someone says it.
Its all about the modern cars instantly making you think "thats a Muira" thats the point of them, not a technical exercise like the Gayron, its all about showing the heritage of the marque.

its gorgeous. i never really liked the original... much preferred a battered black charger, with 2 quiet blokes and a sawnoff
