TBH the Astra is struggling with 240bhp through the front wheels. yes its a great car, and after being a passenger in a test drive of the XR5, i can safely say that Ford have not lost their touch when it comes to making a great handling FWD package. more than can be said for Vauxhall. yes, improvements over the mk4 have been made, but is it enough? the Focus is still the motoring journo's fave between the 2, being pipped at the post by the awesome Golf GTi.
isnt this thread for Focus ST appreciation, not for getting out One's penis extension and rubbing it over the board

So you've not driven either then

The VXR really doesn't struggle with 237, and the remapped cars actually respond muchg better and much smoother than the standard map. IT also improves fuel economy (until loud pedal is pressed).

VXR is great on track. But as you say, you can't compare as you've only been a passanger in one car.

I've praied the ST overleaf.

There is a small amount of TS, but there will be with anything with 200+bhp and 200lb through the front wheels. Its really nothing bad at all, full throttle in 1st and 2nd and it pulls slightly, but then you should have two hands on the stearing wheel anyway, and the drivers position supports that stlye of driving.

Noticed you only pulled out a couple of words that you wish, ignoring the praising comments.......

Instead of reading others opinions, take one out for yourself.

also, i trust what my car mag tells me, thats why they are written, to provide an in-depth and truthful opinion of the car in question. so if i so wish, i can read others opinions and base knowledge along with it.

Driven a VXR and the ST now, VXR wins as said is just more fun to drive, ST interior is very boring as well.
