i've took the wiper and boot lock handle offf the outside of my boot but kept the plate recess.
my question is
do i need a solienold *sp* or can i mess arounf with the rear window wiper wires to make the lock pop off the stalk???
if you get what i mean

u can wire a solenoid to the wiper switch

feel a pillock if you accidentally hit it when turning front wipers on when ur on the motorway tho.

you have to have a solenoid, then you can either wire it up to just a switch and put it on the dash or somewhere, or you can do what i have done and put it on the rear wiper stalk which makes it look alot neater

why its a double catch - the boot won't open
hit mine numerous times - it just opens to the first stop

if it only opens half way then you have to push your boot open at the same time it pops.

the bodyshop that did mine used a brand new one from ford as there one of the strongest, think the mk3 fiesta came with them on

hi you can get boot release kits and door poppers of ebay mate
