Hey all

Just been lookin at a corsa gsi for sale up near me and have a few questions about what it'll need for it to get through an MOT and how much they could cost as they look like common problems for earlier corsas. This one is L reg so has the C16XE engine.

So 1st both b pillars are cracked how much roughly to sort this and also is this actually an MOT failure?

2nd both sides could do with welding next to the jacking points (This is pretty much on the sill so I presume is an MOT failure) I wouldnt have noticed except the arch to skirt connector piece is missing on one side and its right underneath this.

Finally the last problem with it is the idling is all over the place, so I recokon this the idle control valve, can you just remove and clean this or does it have to be replaced, how much does this cost?

icv valve could be cleaned by removing it but its hidden in the throttle body below the fuel rail and is a bit of a bitch to get to so id replace it with a new one.On the welding bits the sill i think would fail as would the pillars.

the B-pillars would not fail. The majority of 3 door corsa have this problem. Just as long as it is a small crack.
