I wanted to fit one real easy to do but you will find the steering wheels will sit much closer to you....depends on whether you find it a problem or not.

that could be a bonus because i could do with moving the buckets a notch back with the sidemounts but didn't want to be too far away from the wheel

mine is actually made by "snap-off"... seems a pretty good piece of kit, we'll see how easy, or not, it is to fit.

concernigly (is that even a word?!) i have a momo boss and a sparco wheel, but all the bolt holes on everything seem to line up so all should be good

I use on in muy 205, it's a D1/Rage type, as the snap-off ones looked a bit, erm.. in secure.

search "snap off boss" on ebay, £35 inc P&P was pretty good, I managed to get mine cheaper.

I'm using it so I can get inand out the car though, as the cage gets in the way pretty well, and to bring the steering wheel even closer, for a better driving position, might not work so well in a near std car.

I had a 'snap-off' one in my old astra.
How do you nick a car without a steering wheel? so its a great bit of kit to have.

i used one for 4 years

yes the wheel sits further out, so i modified the normal boss and took a good 2" off it so the wheel sat in the exact same position as before.

Definatly looks good when your car has no wheel on, mine was about 90 quid from Ripspeed (i didnt pay that) - dont buy cheap crap ones on ebay as I have seen them before

only things i didnt like was the fact that you can just take the allen keys out and then pop a normal steering wheel on, and if some arse brakes into your car the wheel can be fitted without the key (key is to take it off) and if someone stole the wheel you could be pretty standed

I had one on the fez, they are great, so much easier to sleep in your car, read the paper or even to take the clocks out,

Just a lot better to have a snap off, just a big put off for theves, used to stick it in my drawer at work or in my room at night,

all snapp off ones we had didnt do that. key was to take it off. always thought this was a bad idea so i turned the pin round so it came off without the key but needed the key to go back on
