any one got any ideas on a upgrade the problem i have is, i have 2.016v breaks fitted with black diamond disks and pads i have bled them off ajusted hand break up etc etc but still crap, think it cud be master cylender there just not good enough iv recently upgraded engine further and am looking for some good stopping power any ideas peps p.s i have 15's on 16's are the biggest wheels im willing 2 fit

2.0 16V are good, you may need to invest in some Goodridge Braided Brake hoses...

As you mentioned you've changed ya engine so......Other options are V6 brakes then you got bigger like 4pots, etc..

am i right in think puttin discs and calipers on is a waste of time, iv hurd that the brakes can only push as hard as the master cylender

i have v6 brakes with ds2500 pads and black diamond combi discs with rear discs, good rich hoses and braking is good

Take into consideration distance from roundabout , speed , and very hard stamping on the brakes. Tis possible believe me!

i had 2ltr 16v brakes on my corsa... felt quite good but changed them for V6/Turbo ones!

Feck me what a difference.

some people seem to be lucky when upgrading brakes others like me are not!!

i am running 2.0 brakes on a 1.4 master cylinder also with braided hoses and the pedal feel is rubbish, the brakes are there and they are pretty good but the pedal is very very low.

mines the same ant have to get the pedal 3/4 down b4 they bite dosent feel safe any how iv jst got a new master nd servo see if its any betta

Exactly how my pedal felt when i first changed my brakes turned out the calipers were round the wrong side so the bleed nipple was at the bottom and there was still air in the system! all sorted now though
