Was just wandering how many people have done pass plus, and how did it help with their insurance, and how long after they passed their test they did it?

just been looking around for quotes on a ford focus 1.6 zetec 3 door, all standard car with factory fitted immobiliser and the cheapest quote that i could find was £2600 and that was with bell on their 10 month bonus accelerator.
i think ill just get another 1.2 corsa and wait till i build up enough no claims now

Who can take part?
You can take take Pass Plus within your first year of passing the practical driving test
What's involved?
When you get your full driving licence, you can book for a course of 6 specially designed training sessions.
These cover driving
In town
Out of town
in all weathers
at night
on dual carriageways
on motorways
There is no further test to take. When your instructor is satisfied with your performance you receive a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). This certificate will earn you a substantial discount on your insurance premium from one of the companies in the scheme

Is there a time limit for completion of the Pass-Plus course?
Yes. You must complete the Pass-Plus course and apply for the certificate within 12 months of passing your driving test. My advice is to take the Pass-Plus course within the first month of passing - get the ball rolling, act now.

Mine was about £300-400 lower with passplus on my 1.4 8v LS. My insurance was still a bomb though due to a high risk postcode.
Your probabaly alittle late doing it but there stilla chance you could take it. The passplus website says
quote: If you passed your test more than a year ago you should check that you’ll be eligible for the discounts on offer from your insurance company before you take the course.
So have a call around, worth checking
