Need a bit of advice in regards to hot water pressure...
cold water pressure is fine, its nice & strong, but the hot water pressure is far from that, its like a trickle at times...
Its an electric water heater btw, not gas, the gas is just the central heating, even though a switch on the wall selects heating/water, so go figure...

If you want a high pressure shower you need one of the following:
- a combi,
- or an unvented cylinder (like a Megaflo),
-or with a single-sided pump to boost the water after the mixer,
- or more commonly with a dual pump to boost both the H & C supplies before they reach the mixer.
- Such pumps can work with a head of as little as 150mm. There are also pumps available to work with negative heads - often used in loft rooms when the shower head is higher than the cistern or with an instantaneous electric heater fed from the mains water, although the flow is usually quite limited.

hmmm i duno
tbh i just want good pressure on the hot water 
landlord is saying its all fine  but its a joke, takes about 5 mins to just fill a kettle if using the hot water, the washing machine is having a hissy fit over it too...
there is a hot water boiler upstairs in my room, has an auto pressure valve (i think) and a pump, but i cant here either making any noises yet there both on???

Mine doesnt, just has a cold water feed

one we have atm does, uses both, but as the heating element in it is bust, its only using the hot water...

Fill a kettle with hot water? Why? Put cold in and heat it up!
Most washing machines have a cold water feed, if they have hot and cold feeds then just get a Y piece and have the cold water feed join them both.
It sounds like a increase in pressure is needed, I know on my (Gas combi) boiler there is a gauge on the from which shows the water pressure, you can adjust this accordingly, it does drop over time so maybe that is the problem with yours?

Sounds like the system you have is a heatray or equivalant electric heater....these work in a similar way to a electric shower, heating water as it passes through & are generally pish!! If you want good pressure you need to upgrade to a sealed hot water storage cylinder & boiler system or a good quality combi.

i presume you have a cylinder in the airing cupboard, does it have two pipes running into the side of it? or just a 4 or 5 inch hole for your immersion? the only way to increase water pressure on that kind of system is to move the feed cistern in the loft. basically the height from the bottom of the cistern to the top of your cylinder is the "head: (no rude jokes). to increase water pressure you must increase your head by rasing your cistern. hope thats some help
