My mate (s1600nick) is in the process of building a supercharged 1600 for his corsa as some of you may know. For one part of the completion of this he needs to make a Mantzel style box.
So i am am having a freebie. He made me go out today and buy some more bits to make it work like a x16xe inlet maifold and some gaskets.
Should be ready within a week and get some piccies up on here for you lot to have a look at. If all goes to plan and a good power gain he might be starting to sell some on here (with permision from ian)
Prices to be announced after test run

If it all works fine on brads (cant see why not) then i will be considirng building a batch and stick them up on here. Cost wise i think were going to be looking about £150-175. Which is a good price when you consider the manzel at £1k and hostyles at £580. Will put some pics up in the week when we've sorted brads.

they cost about £200 to make as they were cnc machined from 1 piece of billet metal. could have done them cheaper but wasnt enough demand for them. would need to make 20+ to make them feasible.
the 2 i did make went onto peoples cars. think on an otherwise standard engine they made 125ish bhp. the design will make the most difference at high rpm though as thats when a good flow design really helps

if you ever think about making any more of these let me know, i would definately have one and a few of my mates from where i live would also be interested, was it 125bhp on a 1.6? thats a pretty big increase on a standard engine, ive been looking at you work on here, very impressed and i also see that you are starting your own business doing engine work

if you could sell them for somewhere around the price of a lexmaul, it'd be a good seller i reckon.

Ive just had to borrow £20k and spend £20k of my own to get the new business up and running (which it isnt anywhere near yet)
I might revive the inlets, just not yet. if anyone is interested in a cheap one made from box section aluminium then I can knock some up for less than £150.
