1.8 T is avery strong engine good fro 300 BHP on K04 turbo and standrad internals

conrods are the wekest part of engine so need uprating over 300 BHP

On 150 model you will see 210 with remap depending on tunner

Turbo's can get quite hot on 22PSI

Like Mac says quite alot of lag -less so on the Ko3 turbo's which are in the golf

Heavy on juice aswell

my brother has got a 1.8T 20v hes had it revo'd and recyling dump valve hes around 225bhp

and its goes quite well

ohh hes also had a quote to get a new turbo and manifold from Ultimate Velocity for £649 which apparently give 30-40 bhp

yes well apart from the BAM engines in the LCR, TT etc

cupra R has the Ko4 turbo - bigger turbo and twin intercoolers rather than just one

Also different injection system
