right folks got myself a cracking deal on a redtop but the boy a got it from was a bit off a toser an didnt even no what the engine was from ie astra,calibra ect is there anyway ov finding this out by looking at it? the boy who i got it from said "think its from a astra gte" he got it from down south so not sure what 2 do as my fan belt snappt but put 1 from a gte on it but didnt look wide enough but done the trick cheers

yep thats true but was thinking ov wen i go 2 change spark plugs ect waht 1ns 2 go for if you catch mydrift cheers

the engne code will be written on the engine by where the gearbox attches to it this will give it a fair indication.
Also worthy note that the c20xe can be from an astra gte,calibra 16v, cav gsi and astra mk3 gsi
So lots of differnt car used the same engine
