the engine light has come on t few times now an i paper clip tested it an i say these two things

16 knock sensor = no change in voltage

31 engine rpm signal = crank shaft sensor

iam not sure what to do to fix the problem please help. cheers richy

either a faulty Knock sensor or Crank sensor. could even be a bad earth.

the engine light only comes on for about 10 seconds then goes off again, when the lights on the engine seems to be fine

knock sensor faults are common when other sensors fail. sometimes they are false.

check teh crank sensor is clean and no dirt has got jammed round it.

was the engine running when you did the test if not then that will be why you got 31

no the engine wasn't running.

where are these sensors on the car

knock sensor is on the back of the block. u dont need to know where the crank one is as it wont be that

it will either be the sensor or the plug has come off probably. if it doesnt sort it u may have to run new wires straight to the pins on the ecu. if that is the case let me know and il tell u what pins
