...for a medium sized site, and a php based forum.
It will need to have very good bandwidth allowance, to prevent outages, and also fast download rates.
Obviously don't want it to cost the earth too!

www.i-websolutions.co.uk - small company, uk servers, but cheap as chips and no bullshite (ie: heartinternet.co.uk - complete joke with T&Cs, or a reseller) - never had any problems and if you contact them, there usually able to create a package suited to you
