you have to put a pipe from the blanking plate to the mantzel itself, does it have hole for the pipe to go onto?

you dont need to run the pipe. you can run on just a blanking plate.

if the em light is anoying take the bulb out.

if done about 1500 miles on mine now. not a problem. and i dont even have a proper blanking plate, had to use the throttle body mount, blocked up. lol

From what i've read on here, you shouldn't get a fault either way.

Are you sure it's nothing else?

Have you still got the EGR wiring loom atttached?

can you not put the egr on top of the blanking plate so it still works but just blanked off?

dont get what you mean??
you cant move the egr valve from the lower inlet manifold, it has to stop there and be blanked off or as said above have a blank plate with a pipe coming from it to vent in to the new upper inlet.

Are we talking about the "hole" where the throttle body would have mounted ?

What would happen to the car's peformance if this was not blocked/insufficently blocked ?

it would run badly as it would cause an air leak. missfire, bad idle...

If there is a leak here, it throws up a fault. Mine did that. I had to put some thicker gasket paper behind the plate.

hmm..maybe theres just a leek there then.........
i was thinking, what if i drilled through behind this plate into the (no' 4 cylinder) manifold.....it would then get enough vaccume would it not?/

im not taking my bulb out as id prefer to know when theres a problem with the engine willhouse
