Hi ppl another day another stupid problem with my car so please once again can you help me solve it. I was just out on me dinner driving down the road the car just cut out ( its a corsa with a 2 litre in it ) the car starts again then cuts out, then you can drive it a bit but the rev needle jumps all over the place could a sensor be nackered any help much appreciated thanks

The plug is not wired up so the light dont come on which i have just unfortunately found out

get that wired up first then as could be numerous sensors or air leak etc

Thanks alot mate i will do, but you got any rough idea im thinking a sensor but aint got sensor it will be? so any help is much appreciated

Ive changed that bout 3 weeks ago for a second hand 1 cos had a missfire but that turned out to be the coil, so i could try putting the old 1 back on see if that makes a difference, I heard crank sensors go down on these a bit but the car wouldn't run at all right?

could be the crank sensor when its running try wiggling it about and c if it cuts out

Sorry mate this is gunna sound thick but aint got a clue were that sensor is can you give me a general idea. Also the car idles up and down all the time which is the ICV would this cause a problem like this? Thanks again mate for ya help

could be. crank sensor is below the drivers side front engine mount.

Aaaaagh i changed the engine mounting the other day and had that out never thought that was that sensor your a star mate i think ill try that then how much are they roughly, so you think that might be the problem ill try that and how hard is it to clean ICV

icv will take around 30 mins to get off and clean and re fit. second hand theyre around £10. as i say best bet is to get the wiring done

yeah think i will get it wired up seems pointless throwing money at it for no reason. I thought ICV would take a lot long than that, so thats good to hear ill av go at tht tonite thanks alot mate
