connect your seatbelts to the original seatbelt points - theres no strength in the C-pillars in a rear end smash
but looks good
IMO it looks better if you take the straps down to the o/e buckle anchors rather than on the c-pillar as well - keeps the straps neat

looks ok, need to fill the gaps on the rear
and also as a safety measure, bolt the harnesses to the seatbelt mounts on the floorplan, not on the back of the c-pillar...

i have seen a few harnesses mounted there so alway thought it would b strong enough yeah need to make some thing to hide the gaps each side the boot install

no not really that strong, they will crumple and bend in on an impact or if you roll...
mine ar mounted here as can be seen in the pic, best place to mount imo

Not trying to be funny, but if your going to mount the amps like that then just remove the seat, it looks to me like a half assed job with a un-useable seat, would look better removed,
also you wont be able to pass an MOT as if there is a seat there needs to be a seatbelt for it

its strong enough to have the seat belt mounted there for rear passengers? surely as its a proper mounting point it will be strong enough? perhaps not as good as mounting on the lower rear belt points, but still strong enough to be safe as its a proper mounting point?

you can actually pull the existing mountpoint forward with a harness if you pull hard enough, now imagine hitting something head on, the force of your body moving forward will be more than enough to pull it. possibly even rip the bolt or mount straight out. the strength in the c-pillar also relies on the other 2 mounting points of the rear belts, aswell as the angle in which the force is applied in the case of an impact or sudden stopping. your effectivly putting all the force on 1 point which its not designed to cope with.

yup i had mine there also in the C pillar and was told many a time to move them as they would be no good in a crash, however i had nowhere to fix them to - back to stanard seatbelts now though

Not trying to be funny, but if your going to mount the amps like that then just remove the seat, it looks to me like a half assed job with a un-useable seat, would look better removed,
also you wont be able to pass an MOT as if there is a seat there needs to be a seatbelt for it
i wanted it to look like the standard seat was still there and i can just put the old seat belts back when i get time
