How does all your insurance react when you tell them you have a roll cage welded in?? 
My old mate from school wanted to put one in his old mini but the insurance said no

Thats the thing about roll cages, insurers hate them, then again when you tell them you have a c20let in a corsa they aren't to impressed either!!!!!

Steve - your argument makes sense... but is pointless.
A rollcage in a car (fitted correctly) will help in a crash.
The owner may survive without it.... but I know for sure that i'd prefer rolling in caged car.
Accidents happen. Cages are fitted in case of accidents. I dont think people think 'hmm... it prob survive a crash at 60 so i dont need a cage'
Id prefer to need a new car rather than have a flat top on my head.
Why do you fit uprated brakes.... i'm sure the std ones work. The uprated ones WORK BETTER!!!!
A cage HELPS the car stay in shape when squashed.
and 25kg for a full cage is a bit optimistic. Maybe 45kg including door bars

in what way are they not impressed? they get to charge you over inflated rates to insure a 14 year old engine in a corsa. if anything they want you to call

see how the rear is still pretty much uncrushed?
i think the lesson here is full cages offer some degree of structural ridgity but half cages are pretty pointless

rears not crushed cos it didnt go onto the rear, weight of the engine kept the front down

no no am i buggery-im highly ADVISING a cage-mine was bolted in at every point. to see the car in the flesh is unbelieveable-without the complete cage i would be dead-no doubt about it at all. fire brigade police and ambulance say im here cuz cage stopped roof from crushing my head.
check this pic-u can clearly see that the cage has held the roof here...
and this one u can see how the cage has kept it in place...
and the car rolled about 4-5 times-im convinced without the cage i wouldnt be here now.
