car L reg corsa GSi

ok i have all the parts

i started on the passenger side (does that matter??)

it has 16 pins on passenger side in the loom?

firstly stripped door down
fitted electric mirror
then i swopped over the looms - pluged everything in speakers, mirror, switch motor, central locking

only thing that works is CL and speakers (had them in first place)

checked fuses all fine??

how come there no power?

from what i can remember you need the driver loom/swiches in place so that the passenger side works

plug the drivers door loom in with the switches pluged in (dont really need the drivers motor to see if it works)

There are 2 fuses for the electric windows F17 10 amp and F28 30 amp

open the door unplug the multiplug plug and plug the loom in to test it. The window switches should light up when the side lights are on your also need the ignition is on (lights on dash)

yes just make sure the switches are pluged into the loom

I dont think that the loom inside the car itself has all the cables, when i put CL in my car all i had was the speaker cables going through the plug and on the otherside the only cables pluged in to the cars loom was the speakers.
So you might want to check the car loom is all there. Just a thought.

Good point its hit and miss if the car loom is there on there earlier cars

not tried it yet with all switches plugged in- just seems strange as there is 16 or 17 pins in the car and the fuse box had a gap were the fuse should be. as gsi's had op extras of electric windows and mirrors I thort the loom would be there??

has anyone done this on a a 1994 L reg GSi?
