well i new from the day that i touched that standard engine that something was going to go wrong. i have driven my car for about 1 month now with all the bits fitted. i was on the way home from having tea with the bird and it was realy strong winds coming towards my car. at first i thought it was the wind pulling my car back. then the engine managment light came on, so i stopped at my birds house and every time i tried to take of it would splutter up to 2500rpm and then be fine. i thought it may have something to do with the wind as i drove it the next morning and it was fine.

so realy i have a car that i cant drive on windy days by the sounds of it

has anyone else experinced this before?

So is it the air filter?

I have a standard box and filter in my 1.4 16v, but at the moment, dont have a front grille, so theres shit loads of air getting to it, that the cause of it?

Mines been spluttering a bit, and also sometimes say your in 4th for instance, and doing 30-40, and push the pedal to the floor, it sort of kangaroo jumps and splutters, like it doesnt want to go?
