Brakes.
Are the 1.4 brakes ALL crap? or is it just mine?
what can I do to improve them? any upgrades? if so... links please.
I would ask on CCUK, but I'll just get told to search

Decent disks and pads. SRi disks and calipers? Not sure on the size etc or if there interchangeable. not worked on a C yet

but the 1.8 front calipers are the same as the 1.4 ones

no they arent   i am pretty sure the 1.4 calipers wont accomodate 260x26mm discs

^ I think you should look into it, the only C that has bigger front brakes in the 1.7 CDTI

the brakes on my 1.8 are fantastic, prefer them to my 4pots on the Gsi anyday.

black diamond discs and pads are supposed 2 be good.
heard green stuff discs warp easily.
last i heard, LMF were trying 2 develop a 308mm kit for the C (other 308/320mm kits won't fit cause of the carriers on the C are different 2 other vauxhalls')

my 1.2 brakes are crap, ive had the fluid changed and bled, reear drums re-aligned and all cleaned up, see if that helps

the braking power on my SRi is awesome actually, which is probably partly down to the rear disc setup
