I know that generally speaking the grading system works from 1 being poor to 5 being good - regarding the bodywork but what does A stand for? Is that accident damaged?

Also I think X stands for needs replaced?

If someone can clear that up that would be grand

if its on the car diagram with an A on panel it normaly means small dent/scratch on that panel.

In the auction grade...

Grade S>6>5 - Brand new to perfect condition
Grade 4.5 - very good condition
Grade 4.0 - good condition
Grade 3.5 - fair condition
Grade 3 - average to poorer condition
Grade 2 - spares/repair
Grade 1 - modified vehicle
Grade 0 / 0.1 / 0.2 - Accident repaired (see vehicle report for replaced parts)
Grade R / R A - Accident repaired / with very clean repair

If a grade 1 is a modified vehicle, is it possible for that vehicle to be in any type of condition but the fact that it is modified results in it simply being listed as a grade 1?
