when my rear left indicator is flashing my rear left side light flashes too, they like alternate with eacother! iv tried a new side light bulb but it hasn't made any difference! whats wrong with it! it only flashes when the indicator is on!

when the normal rear light are on when i turn my lights on they look fine, its only when i put my hazards on or just my left indicator that the rear light starts to flash!
also on my dash the fog light flashes when this is happening which is also wierd!

could be some water or something causing the two terminals to make a connection, get a circuit tester and test it all to see whats happening

otherwise known as a multimeter, bloody useful, I have one and so far ive used it to fix all my electrical faults, its great. Will tell you if something is live or ground, measures resistance, current, voltage, and can perform a circuit test (if you have two wires and you want to know if they connect to each other somewhere)

check for a circuit between your sidelight and indicator wiring

just experiment and see what you find out and you'll eliminate the possibilities until you find out whats wrong
